This material is rated for axle loads up to 25,000 lbs. in a 16 1/2” X 7” brake.  The compound matrix is comprised mainly of metal fibers and particles but is complimented with Aramid fibers.  The abrasive characteristics of the metal is negated by soft carbon particles, which also improves heat dispersion.  On its own, this materials provides maximum density to avoid impregnation of foreign abrasives.  It is most suitable for severe terrain or where extreme brake temperatures are the norm.  The compound contains the highest amount of film transfer ingredients to maximize drum life in the toughest of conditions.
